UK DOCUMENTARY LOOKING FOR GAY MEN (and their moms!)
Are you close to your mom? Do you have an amazing relationship?
Do you go shopping together? Do you tell her all your problems?
Does your mum have conservative views but somehow you manage to have a very close relationship nonetheless?
Are you a mom who has a strong bond with your gay son?
Whatever your situation, we are looking for great characters who have a story to tell. Please get in touch! We have made many films for our major broadcasters here including BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 and Ch4 channels in the UK. We are known for making intelligent, distinctive well-crafted documentaries and for maintaining excellent relationships with the people we film.
The producers for Landmark are looking for gay men and their moms for a potential development idea. They have just started working on an upbeat, warm and intelligent documentary idea about ‘Gay Men and their Moms’. If we get it off the ground we would obviously be prepared to come and film in the US.
The producers want to explore the strong relationship that gay men often have with their mothers and are looking for a variety of gay men who have funny, interesting or unusual stories to tell about the relationship they have with their mum. We are looking for confident, chatty gay men of all ages who can talk about this close bond e.g Are you particularly close to your mom? Maybe you always go shopping together, tell her your problems or maybe your mum had very conservative views but you changed the way she thought about things? Also being looking for are those who have had a harder time with their mum. Whatever your story – I’think about getting in touch.
If you know someone who would fit the bill, contact emma@landmarkfilms.com or call 011 44 7984 169 859 (cellphone)
As mentioned, it is at a development stage but it would be fantastic to hear your thoughts.
